Tasting notes
What to expect from Joule’s Eden Haze New England IPA.
Eden Haze brings Joule’s into modern hazy beer territory. It is soft, juicy and fruit-led, with citrus, kiwi, lime, lemon and grapefruit notes, while the bitterness stays smooth, low and approachable.
As Joule’s first hazy beer, Eden Haze takes the familiar comfort of a proper pub pint and gives it a modern New England IPA twist. It pours hazy pale yellow with a delicate frothy white head, light floral aroma, grapefruit peel on the nose and a bright citrus-led taste.
Why order it?
Choose Eden Haze if you want something more modern and aromatic than a classic pale ale, but without the harsh bitterness that can put some people off bigger craft IPAs. It is a good bridge between traditional pub beer and the softer, juicier side of modern IPA.
Taste profile
Expect a hazy pale-yellow pint with light floral aroma, grapefruit peel, citrus, kiwi and lime. Joule’s lists Eden Haze with a bitter rating of 2/5 and a sweet rating of 3/5, giving it a smooth, juicy profile with enough freshness to stay lively.
Hops, malt & IBU
Joule’s publicly lists the flavour profile of Eden Haze, but does not publish the exact hop varieties, malt bill or IBU for this beer. For that reason, we do not guess the recipe here.
What we can safely say is that Eden Haze is built around citrus, kiwi, lime, lemon and grapefruit character, with a smooth low-bitterness profile and the soft haze expected from a New England IPA.
Food pairing idea
Eden Haze works well with food that has a little salt, spice or richness. Try it with sharp cheese, cured meats, pickles, loaded fries, spicy snacks or anything with citrus-friendly flavours — the juicy fruit notes and smooth bitterness help keep each sip refreshing.
